Given the recent news about the Zika virus outbreak and the potential impact it has on our communities, the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) would like to alert you to an upcoming free webinar conducted by an MCHB grantee. Dee Quinn, MS, CGC, of MotherToBaby Arizona, will be providing the latest research on the Zika virus in pregnancy. The webinar will be taking place on February 26th at 12:00pm EST, is open to the public and is being hosted by the National Society of Genetic Counselor’s (NSGC) Prenatal Special Interest Group.
Objectives of the webinar include:
1) Define the epidemiology of the Zika virus
2) Describe the malformations which have been proposed to be associated with Zika virus infection in pregnancy
3) List criteria for and availability of testing
